Ford Focus Back Door Lock Jammed

The top part of the interior lock seems to be stuck on lock and no matter what i do unlocking the car pushing the lock in and out it wont return to its original position.

I have taken it to everyone i can think of including 4 locksmith that said they can open anything. I was driving all well and fine until it came to getting out of my focus the drivers door wouldnt let me out. Is there anyway i can override the sensor so i can secure the car before i get to the dealer.

The small central locking button has been pushed depressed in and. When you try with the electric switch do you hear a buzz that the motor is trying to open the door. Any help would be appreciated. I took it to the dealer and they told me i needed the wiring harness put on some computer.

I read some place that the fuse on the central locking mechanism is blown out. Surprisingly it will still lock but in order to get out of the drivers door i. Maybe if you take the door panel off the link should be stuck somewhere. I have a 2000 ford focus.

About a year later out of warranty i had to buy the lock mechanism rear passenger side and the dealer charged me over 300 to install it. And the power door locks are dead. Now about 18 months later the door lock is not working again. They said that would cost me 125 bucks but they would credit that back if i had the door fixed there.

I have an 05 zx5 and the first time the lock didn t work the dealer said it was a tsb issue and fixed it. I have a 2000 focus with power door locks. The passenger door id stuck in the lock position. I m off warranty or i d just take it in to ford.

Ford territory 2007 ts thanks. It won t open from the inside either i can try to pry open the triangular lock tab but it appears to be stuck. I have the same problem with my 2000 ford focus zx3. Lemme talk to noresull who is out resident ford guy and i ll get back to you.
